Virtual Real Estate Land-Grab, INFO Domains for 60 Cents

Sorry for the short notice on this alert, but I only just found out about it. In fact, Register Fly is doing this incredible deal on the spur of the moment, and their notifications to customers only went out a couple of hours ago.
Here’s the deal: .info domain registrations for $0.60 each (!).
if you’re in the Virtual Real Estate business (ie Adsense-monetized info sites, niche affiliate sites), the most basic building block is an inventory of domains. You can get .com, .net., .biz type domains for around $10 each (per year). Other TLD’s such as .ca, .tv and .eu cost a bit more. The bargain is (has always been) .info domains, which typically go for $4 - $6 dollar each per year.
Register Fly is a high-volume domain registrar that consistently offers .info domains at the lowest prices around. Their standard price is $2.99/year, and you can usually get a bulk deal from them that brings the price down to $1.49 each if you buy 100 at a time, or $1.29 each for 1,000.
For 12 hours, tomorrow only (Friday), Register Fly is selling .info domains for just 60 cents each, with no minimum purchase. This is an incredible deal.
If you aren’t sure of the rationale behind buying large numbers of domains, here’s a quick summary. To generate Virtual Real Estate (VRE) income on the “quantity/volume” model, you need to build an empire of hundreds of keyword-specific websites. The best search value comes from placing your keywords and phrases in the URL, and especially in the domain name itself. For this purpose, the practical value of .info domains is virtually equivalent to that of .com domains, because search engines don’t devalue the cheap/off-brand .info TLD the way humans do.
Example: http://www.widgets.info/widgetsforsale/purplewidgets.htm … is going to get you good AdSense targeting - at the very least - for “widgets” and “purple widgets” … whereas http://www.somedomain.com/purplewidgets.htm … wil NOT (by itself).
So for VRE developers, buying .info domains by the dozen or the gross, at 60 cents a pop, is a huge opportunity. Just go through your inventory of content and content ideas that you plan to build VRE sites around, and buy up a bunch of domains that use targeted keywords for that content.
Please be aware that renewals of these .info domains after the initial year will likely cost you the full going rate, from Register Fly or some competing registrar. But don’t let that put you off. If any of the cheap domains you buy now isn’t making you at least $10 or $20 per month after a year, just let ‘em go, they’re not worth keeping. And if they ARE producing income, why wouldn’t you renew for $5 or so?
Here’s how to get the $0.60 pricing deal:
Go to Register Fly (this is NOT an affiliate link, in case you’re wondering :)), fill up your shopping cart with .info domains you can use. At checkout, before you get to payment, put this coupon code in the appropriate box and update your cart:
“SUPERINFO” (without the quotes)
The special pricing is supposed to be in effect for about 12 hours, starting at 9:00am Friday (May 12).
Google Trends, A New Research Tool for Marketers

If nothing else, this is worth a look for a bit of relaxation and fun. In some situations, it might provide valuable information and insight into consumer trends and patterns of interest that you can use to spot money-making opportunities.
Google’s latest labs/beta experiment is Google Trends, just gone live today. It’s simple, you just enter keywords, or several keywords and phrases separated by commas, and go. Google Trends shows you a graph and comparison chart of search volume for each keyword or keyword phrase, over a 2-year stretch. It also gives you charts of relative search traffic from a selection of cities, regions and languages.
How to use it? It’s another keyword research tool. Perhaps you want to choose between several possible keyword optimizations…. say, “ipod” vs. “mp3 player” vs “music download”. Head over to Google Trends punch ‘em in. See what you get.
This is definitely a beta-looking feature, without any way of controlling the data you get back. There some obvious possibilities: define a period of time for the comparison data, select specific countries or languages to assess, and so on.
Never mind, it’s still worth a look right now. Enjoy!
Source Code Goldmine 2, the Only Resell Rights Package I’ve Ever Recommended
Well, I would never have believed it. I don’t buy resell rights packages. But this one, heavily promoted today, made me break my rule.
Source Code Goldmine 2 by Jeremy Burns
I suspended my preconceptions and went for it, ponied up my PayPal account and bought the package as soon as it went on sale this morning.
Why? Well first of all, why I don’t buy resell rights packages. Basically, I don’t see any way to make money off the typical package. They sell to a thousand customers or more, and they come with master resell rights (allows buyers to resell the resell rights, and on down the chain of buyers ad infinitum). This means that the supply is virtually unlimited. Within about 72 hours, you see the products all over the place, selling for next to nothing.
In that situation, the only valid justification for buying a resell rights package is that you just want to get the products for yourself. It’s just way too much work to sell the products, for a pittance.
And if that’s what you’re doing, I’ve found it sensible to just buy a membership to an all-you-can-eat resell rights club that acquires ALL of these packages and puts them up for download at no additional cost to members. You get all the same resell products, within a few days of the initial master resale offering, free.
(the one I’ve belonged to for 5 years, and I love it, is Allan Wilson’s member site, available as either a monthly subscription membership, or a one-time lifetime-paid membership - I chose the latter, and it’s been a great value to me)
So what’s different about Jeremy Burns’ new Source Code Goldmine package?
For starters, the products are a cut or two above the usual. There are at least 5 (out of 10 in the package) products that I can see repackaging, rebranding, and re-using profitably in my own business. Jeremy does a great job of picking software and multimedia info product topics that are hot and saleable (really… have a look at the included products and see what I mean).
But way more important: Jeremy is doing something about the instant devaluation of the products that I described above. The terms of use for this package make it impossible to distribute the resell rights through a membership program, or in bundles with more than one of these products in the bundle.
This means I won’t be getting them in my resell rights membership
… but it also means the value of the products I intend to market (NOT “as-is”, mind you) will be protected to a significant degree.
So I bought the package. $20 per product. A great deal, great value, and I really recommend you take a look at this yourself.
