Another Way to Make Money
AdSense publishing is very hot this year. There are a lot of Internet entrepeneurs and home-based businesses building their income around revenue from content sites. These sites host Google advertising, and get a cut of the profits through Google’s AdSense contextual ad program.
One approach to making profits from AdSense sites that many folks are overlooking is building sites for the purpose of selling them outright as turn-key businesses. Think of this as the online home business equivalent of buying and flipping real estate.
I have noticed several approaches to selling content sites that seem to be working.
The most popular is selling them on eBay. If you go to eBay and search on “adsense site” you’ll find plenty of listings. Naturally, the quality varies. Everything from legitimate single-site offerings that are nicely designed and implemented, to firesale bundles of cookie-cutter sites that probably won’t earn a cent - or maybe just a few ad-cents.
Here’s one that caught my eye today:
Adsense Site, Automated Website + 4 letter domain name!
Just one of hundreds up for sale (expires Feb.28, in case your are reading this later). This one falls in the “nicely designed and implemented” category. If you’re interested in building AdSense sites for re-sale, take a look at this one to get an idea of what you should be aiming at.
Also worth a look for some ideas about how to put together a revenue site with good potential, even if you aren’t interested in reselling. Just click on through to the live site. Here’s a direct link if you don’t want to be bothered with eBay en route:
AdSense Accelerator - an AdSense Publisher’s Secret Weapon!
AdSense Accelerator is so powerful and capable as a tool for researching Ad Sense revenue potential that it has replaced a whole bushel basket full of keyword and bid price tools on my desktop.
AdSense Accelerator uses the same core technology as AdWord Accelerator. You input a keyword or phrase, and it seeks out the usual data on related keywords in depth, search volume and competition. As with the AdWord software, this basic set of functions is put together in a way that I find intuitive and easy - much better than the competition.
